An intranet for Ofqual: using social tools to shape internal communications
The Client
Ofqual is the new regulator of qualifications, examinations and tests in England, responsible for ensuring that learners get the results they deserve and that the qualifications they receive count.
The Challenge
Historically part of the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority, new legislation will soon see Ofqual becoming fully independent. This has meant many internal changes, including a move to Coventry and a consequent upheaval for staff – but also the loss of access to an intranet. Having won a COI pitch the NM team swung into action to provide an interim intranet in under 6 weeks, using the trusty Wordpress as an engine and putting into place various social tools to help new staff network and facilitate dialogue with the management team.
