I'm passionate about people, technology and how finding the right fit between them can help make the world a better place to live in. It might sound cliched but that's fine by me, it's what gets me up in the morning and what keeps me awake at night.
My personal mission is:
_ to help the organisations that run our lives be more transparent and inclusive, finding new ways for them to use technology to sit up and listen in a way that not only creates a better, people-focussed culture and makes them more human and more efficient.
_ to help non-profit organisations harness the power of the collective to fight for the things that will enrich everyone's lives, create a more equal society and a more sustainable future.
_ to help people find strength in numbers and new ways of making their lives better, regardless of where they live, how much they earn or their job title.
I'm massively interested in social marketing and behaviour change - how we can use subtle 'nudges' to help everyone make better decisions, without becoming too paternalistic and restricting freedom of choice - as well as developing social capital through social media, digital democracy and social enterprise.
With nearly 10 years in digital marketing, to-date I've worn a number of hats that help me in what I do. Digital product marketing, copy-writing and editing for AOL, being a User Experience designer and producer – I've got a big bag of skills I use to create new ideas based on not just my personal passions, but the solid research, strategy, technology and online PR skills of my colleagues.
Plus, I like cats.
I love...
Bad kung fu films and good independent cinema, trashy detective novels, wonky electronic music.
I hate...
Hating. It's bad for you.
