meet the people

Beth Granter / Consultant / 01273 764029

In my Biology degree, I studied animal communication, human behaviour, evolution and ecology, and it's surprising how much of that is relevant to what I do now! This was followed by an MA in Digital Media, where I specialised in curating new media art, and online communities. I then worked on the University of Sussex Web Team, designing a community mashup site, and building the interiors on the University Second Life project. I then worked in London, focusing on not-for-profit / charity clients, as a Digital Project Manager. Here, my obsession with social media lead to my promotion to Head of Social Media.Last year I wrote a chapter called “Breaking the hierarchy – democratising the institutional web presence” which was published in the book, “Technology supported learning environments – methods and case studies”. I've very excited and proud to have joined NixonMcInnes, as I've admired the company's expertise and democratic culture for years.

I love...

feminism, computer games, queer politics, animal rights, ecology, good fonts, vector art and evolutionary psychology.

I hate...

disorder and obscurity
