Beyond hierarchy & holacracy: Truly responsive organisations love authority

Here’s an article I wrote over on Medium about the taboo around authority in progressive business. It’s become a crime to talk about ‘I’ or ‘me’. Everything has to be ‘we’ or ‘us’. But it is possible to have full creative authority for individuals to realise their personal calling in life, without having to have the formal authority – power over people – of the past.
